The lack of childcare facilities in West Clare has been identified as a major obstacle to many people who want to get a job, or participate in community development activities.
In response to this need, EIRÍ Corca Baiscinn established West Clare Early Years, a community enterprise specialising in providing childcare and early years education in West Clare.
West Clare Early Years now operates six community childcare facilities, each of which offers after school and summer programmes.
